  • Good call quality with fast internet

The app structure is still confusing and I continue to have trouble locating frequently used numbers (editing is also still difficult) but the call quality on a fast wifi network is as good or better than phone quality.
  • Solid App

Easy to use, easy to set up recurring account for long distance to phone when needed and works solid with all my devices. Saves me a bunch when I travel abroad.
  • Does not work with Facebook linked accounts

Users can't sign in on this app if their account is linked through Facebook.

Having no reception at home I must use Skype to call the outside world. It's usually great for that purpose and seems to be getting better. The phone book doesn't import contacts and I find it clunky to input new ones. It would be nice to have a 'call using Skype' feature on the iPhone so I can click on a number and call it. Instead I have to copy it, open skype, go to call phones, number pad, paste, save as contact, write in the name remembering to capitalize it correctly myself and then call. The workflow is cumbersome but it gets the job done in the end so I'm thankful.
  • International calling is relatively cheap & perfect

I use Skype mostly for international calling via yearly subscription. The call rates are cheap compared to others services and worth it given that the call quality is perfect 99% of the times. Serves my needs perfectly.

This app used to be so great, but now it keeps logging me out and won't let me log back in, so i have to continue making different accounts and it's annoying.

  • Speakerphone and video keep going in and out

    By alexkoster
These problems are experienced on an iPhone 5 running iOS 10.2 When I try to enable the speakerphone option, The audio pauses, the speaker phone button shows that speakerphone is enabled, then I hear the audio coming through the speakerphone for 1 to 2 seconds, before it goes back to the earpiece. if I try and turn on speakerphone again, I get the same result. When I enable video, I see myself in the camera for 1 to 2 seconds before the video fades to black. If I try and enable video again, I get the same result.
